OCTOBER 2026
Studio mobile app now works independently from the website
The Studio mobile app can now sign in and operate completely on its own, without needing the website to be running. Members can now sign in directly through the app using email codes, upload photos and voice notes, download files, report content, and block other members—all without relying on studio-web's services.
Mobile Studio App Sign-In Improvements
We've improved the sign-in process for the Studio app on mobile devices. Users can now sign in with their email first to verify their identity, then browse and select which studio they want to access—all without needing a studio name during initial verification. This makes the login flow faster and more intuitive for people who manage multiple studios.
SEPTEMBER 2026
Studio Mobile App Now Supports Push Notifications
The Studio mobile app can now receive push notifications on your phone or tablet. When you get mentions, reactions, or other Studio notifications, you'll be alerted even when the app isn't open. You can manage which notifications you want to receive through your notification preferences.
Desktop App Performance Dramatically Improved
We've fixed a critical issue causing the desktop app to become extremely slow over time. The offline cache was consuming excessive system resources and slowing down your computer. With this fix, the app will run smoothly even during extended use sessions.
AUGUST 2026
Desktop 0.2.3 — Improved sync reliability and control
We've hardened the desktop sync engine with smarter throttling, better power management, and more control over your syncs. The app now pauses transfers when you're on battery (resuming on AC), limits how fast it downloads to prevent system strain, and gives you a clear way to stop all syncs at once. We've also fixed edge cases that could cause transfers to stall or bypass storage limits.
Improved Desktop Sync Reliability and Stability
We've added comprehensive testing to ensure your desktop sync system handles edge cases reliably. This includes better protection against partial file downloads, improved handling of interrupted transfers, and more robust storage management. We've also identified two issues that will be fixed in an upcoming release.
Fixed missing desktop features in Inbox
We've fixed a bug in the desktop app where certain features weren't showing up even though they were included in the build. The sidebar sync status, row status indicators, and Local audio library section in settings should now appear correctly on the desktop version.
JUNE 2026
Fixed workspace switching on desktop app
We fixed an issue where switching workspaces on the desktop app would appear to succeed but then fail to actually switch, leaving you on the original workspace. Now when you switch workspaces on desktop, the app correctly loads and stays on your newly selected workspace.
Fixed workspace switcher on desktop
We've fixed an issue where clicking on a workspace in the workspace switcher menu wouldn't actually switch workspaces on desktop — the menu would just close without doing anything. Workspace switching now works as expected.
Fixed Desktop App Startup Issue
We've resolved a critical issue that was preventing the desktop application from starting properly. The problem was caused by duplicate library instances in the application bundle, which we've now fixed by ensuring only a single copy of the necessary libraries is loaded.
Desktop App Now Works Offline with Workspace Switching
The desktop app now lets you work offline—open it with no internet and browse your saved data, switch between workspaces, and make changes that sync when you reconnect. You can also prepare a workspace for offline use so you have everything you need on flights or areas without connectivity.
Mobile App Download Reminder
We've added a helpful reminder banner across key pages in the web app encouraging you to download the Trackstack mobile app. The banner appears on desktop only and can be dismissed with a single click—once dismissed, it won't show up again anywhere in the app. It includes direct links to download the mobile app.
Android App Now Available on Google Play
Trackstack Mobile is now available for Android users on the Google Play Store. Android users can download the app directly from Google Play alongside the existing iOS App Store option. All marketing materials and app download pages have been updated to reflect Android availability.
APRIL 2026
New Downloadable Apps and Mobile Website
We've redesigned the download page with a modern, dark theme and added a new mobile-focused landing page. Users can now download Trackstack for desktop, mobile, and web.
JANUARY 2026
Improved iOS and Android App Integration
We've added support for iOS App Clips and Android App Links, making it easier for users to access our app directly from their mobile devices.
Improvements to desktop header styles and default track image keys
We've made improvements to the desktop header styles, as well as updated the default track image keys used when uploading new tracks. These changes will help provide a more consistent and polished user experience across the application.
Sidebar visibility improved on desktop
The Elevate sidebar on desktop now stays visible when the menu is opened or closed, ensuring users can access important features and information.
