What's new in Trackstack
Every feature, improvement, and fix we ship on Trackstack.
JULY 2026
Take Private Notes on Videos and Lessons
You can now take private notes while watching any video or lesson. Notes appear in a panel below the player and automatically save as you type. All your notes are collected in a new Notebook page, making it easy to review what you've written across all your content.
Improved Payment Method Management
We've improved how payment methods are managed in your billing settings. The payment method setup, default selection, and removal processes are now more reliable and secure. These changes ensure your payment information is handled safely and consistently across the platform.
Video thumbnails now display in course lessons
When viewing videos inside a course lesson, you'll now see the same thumbnail image that appears in the video library before you press play. This gives you a preview of the video content and makes the lesson view more consistent with the library experience.
Click section titles to view all channels in that section
You can now click a sidebar section title (like "Fundamental Courses") to open a dedicated page showing all channels in that section as cards. The chevron icon still works as before to collapse and expand the section inline.
Campaign Email Builder with Block-Based Editing
We've launched a new campaign email builder for Reach that lets you create and edit email campaigns using a drag-and-drop block editor. You can now build emails from reusable blocks, save drafts, and manage your campaigns from a centralized list.
Import Contacts to Your Reach Audience
You can now build your Reach audience by importing contacts from a CSV file. Simply upload a spreadsheet with email addresses and optional names, and we'll validate and add them to your contact list. This gives you an easy way to get started with reaching out to your fanbase.
Reach Product Scaffold Now Available (Early Access)
We've added the foundation for a new Reach product to our platform. Users with early access to this feature will see a new Reach section in their workspace navigation. This is an early-stage release with placeholder pages as we continue building out the full experience.
Fixed drag-and-drop reliability for videos between course sections
We've fixed a bug where dragging videos or lessons between course sections would sometimes silently fail and snap back to their original location. The drag-and-drop behavior is now reliable and consistent—your changes will persist every time.
Now you can delete lessons and manage video attachments in courses
Fixed three issues that prevented instructors from managing course lessons and videos. You can now delete lessons using a menu, remove library videos that stay attached on save, and see videos you've uploaded or recorded directly in the editor instead of an empty upload box.
Add Custom Text to Downloaded Track Filenames
You can now add a custom suffix (like your artist name or label name) to every track filename you download, making it easy to identify where your music came from. This optional setting appears in your download preferences and applies to both individual and batch downloads without affecting the track's ID3 tags.
Improved feedback reassignment experience
We've fixed an issue where coaches could perform feedback actions (like adding comments) while a reassignment request was pending. Now, when you request to reassign feedback, those actions are properly disabled until the reassignment is processed, preventing confusion and ensuring clarity about the feedback status.
Private Studio toggle now saves correctly
Fixed an issue where toggling your studio's privacy setting wasn't being saved. When you switched the Private Studio toggle on or off and clicked Save, the setting would revert after refreshing the page. Now your privacy preference saves properly every time, with confirmation messages to let you know it worked.
Fixed project share links for non-default inboxes
We fixed an issue where project share links would fail to load (showing a 404 error) if you selected a non-default inbox when creating the share link. Now, project share links work correctly regardless of which inbox you choose in the sharing dialog.
Improved Email Campaign Management and Event Notifications
We've modernized how email campaigns and event notifications work behind the scenes, making them faster and more reliable. Event publishers will now see improved notification delivery, and the email campaign interface has been streamlined for better performance.
Fixed Subscribe Page Redirect Error
We've fixed an issue where the Subscribe page would sometimes redirect to a page that didn't exist, causing a 404 error. The page now correctly determines whether to show your landing page or the subscription options, preventing these broken redirects.
Mastering Information Now Visible in Player
The music player now displays mastering information for your tracks, including loudness, dynamic range, and true peak levels. Click the speaker icon next to the track key to view detailed mastering stats in a convenient popup.
Studio API Improvements and Module Management Updates
We've modernized how your studio handles module installation and link previews behind the scenes. Module management now uses our improved API system for better reliability, and link previews in threads and posts are now more secure and consistent. These changes make the studio more stable and responsive.
Track Revisions Now Play as Main Version
When you upload a revised version of a track, it now automatically becomes the main playable track displayed in the submission row. The original version remains accessible in a dedicated versions panel so you can still play or download it anytime. Version badges (like "V2 · Revision") clearly show which revision you're currently viewing.
Fixed coaches not displaying on welcome page for visitors
We've fixed an issue where coaches weren't showing up on the welcome landing page when you weren't signed in. Now, whether you're a new visitor or a signed-in member, you'll see your studio's coaches listed on the welcome page.
Public Studio Views Now Match Member Experience
Anonymous visitors to your public studio now see a more complete experience that mirrors what members see. The right sidebar shows trending posts and calendar subscriptions, a search bar appears in the header, and a Discover link is available in the navigation rail.
Studios Now Public by Default with Preview Access
Your studio is now publicly browsable by default. Visitors can see preview cards of your posts, courses, events, and other content with a clear invitation to join or log in. You can toggle this in Settings to go fully private if you prefer. Importantly, billing, payments, and memberships work the same way regardless of this setting.
Fixed issue preventing access after workspace deletion
We've resolved a critical issue where users could become permanently locked out of the application after a workspace was deleted. Previously, the system would try to restore access to the deleted workspace, leaving users stuck on a loading screen with no way to recover. Now, the system automatically assigns users to an available workspace or creates a new one, ensuring uninterrupted access.
Improved Member Management: Better Handling of Incomplete Payments
We've improved how incomplete payments are handled in your member management. Members who abandon their payment process are now properly cleaned up and won't clutter your member list, while those still within their payment window remain visible under a dedicated 'Incomplete' section. Members can now successfully rejoin after a failed payment attempt.
Manage free membership plans without Stripe
Studio owners can now access the Applications tab and manage free membership plans even if they haven't connected a Stripe account yet. This lets you invite members and build your community before setting up payments.
Studio Logo is Now Required During Setup
When creating a new Studio, you'll now need to upload a logo before proceeding past step 2 of the onboarding wizard. This ensures every Studio launches with a branded logo instead of a default monogram. If you remove a logo mid-setup, you'll need to upload a new one before continuing.
Improved Member Visibility and Data Consistency
We've fixed an issue where newly invited or onboarded studio members weren't showing up correctly in member lists and plan management pages. Members created through various signup and invitation flows are now properly displayed with their correct subscription status across all admin interfaces.
Fixed crashes in Find a Pro, Lists, and other key pages
We've fixed several crashes that could occur when opening the Find a Pro directory, Lists page, and other areas of the app. These issues were caused by missing code references that would cause the page to fail to load. The app should now be more stable and reliable across these features.
Fixed thread reply loading issue in chat channels
We've fixed a bug in the thread panel that was causing unnecessary repeated loading of replies when clicking the Reply button. The thread panel now displays and functions more smoothly when you're replying to messages in channels.
Improved empty collection handling and wider save modal
We've fixed an issue where empty collections would incorrectly show a 404 error page. Now you can view empty collections and see a proper message when a collection doesn't exist or you don't have permission to access it. We've also made the save post modal wider on desktop for better usability.
Improved Onboarding: Better Dropdown Display and Video Embedding
We've fixed issues in the onboarding experience that prevented dropdown options from displaying properly and made it easier to embed videos. You can now paste video embed codes directly, and dropdown menus will show their options correctly during setup.
New Navigation Links: Lists and Charts Now Available in Main Menu
We've expanded the main navigation menu to give you easier access to Lists and Charts sections. The 'Discover' section has been renamed to 'Directory' for clarity. You'll also notice an improved Send Tracks button with a quick composer option when you hover over it.
Full Spanish language support across 9 pages
We've completed Spanish language support across Discover, Linkstack, Find a Pro, Contacts, Spotlight, Inbox, Communities, Submissions, and Tools pages. Spanish users will now see fully translated interfaces on these pages instead of mixed English and Spanish text. We also fixed language switching to update immediately without requiring a page reload.
Plan Content Selection Now Shows All Your Posts, Channels, and Resources
We've fixed a bug where the plan creation wizard and plan details page were only showing the newest 200 posts, channels, or resources from your studio library. If you had more than 200 items of any type, older content was missing from the selection screen. Now you'll see your complete library so you can assign access to all your content.
Elevate Settings Now Has a Dedicated Full-Screen Settings Page
Elevate settings have been migrated to a modern full-screen settings interface that matches the design and layout of Inbox settings. You'll now access all 8 settings categories (General, Sound Profile, Payments, Integrations, and more) from a cleaner, more organized page at `/workspace/elevate/settings`, with a sidebar for easy navigation and the ability to close with the Escape key.
Improved Channel Feed Loading and Access
We've updated how channel feeds load behind the scenes to make the experience more reliable and consistent. Members who have direct access to channels through invitations will now properly see channel feeds they previously couldn't access. Feed loading now uses the same robust access controls as the rest of the platform.
Unified Layout Experience Across All Studios
We've standardized the studio interface to use our modern Rails layout for all studios, removing the older Classic layout option. This means you'll now experience a consistent, streamlined interface regardless of when your studio was created. The layout includes improved navigation with channels, conversations, and member sidebars that work seamlessly across your studio.
Improved Save to List Modal - Better Error Handling and Validation
We've fixed several issues in the Save to List modal that make creating new lists more reliable. The modal now validates list names, prevents duplicate submissions, and provides clearer error messages when something goes wrong.
Removed Duplicate Opening Times Setting
We've cleaned up the Sharing settings by removing a duplicated Opening Times section that was appearing in the wrong place. This simplifies your settings interface and eliminates confusion from having the same option in multiple locations.
One Studio Per Workspace
Workspaces can now have only one Studio. When you visit the Studio section, you'll be automatically directed to your active Studio, the onboarding wizard (if you have a draft in progress), or the Inbox landing page (if you don't have a Studio yet). The quick-create option from inbox profiles has been removed—Studios can only be created through the full onboarding wizard.
Connect Your Own Google Analytics to Studio
Studio owners can now connect their Google Analytics 4 property directly to their studio. Simply paste your Measurement ID in Settings → Integrations, and studio-web will automatically send page views and key member activity (signups, purchases, comments, RSVPs, and more) to your analytics dashboard. This works the same way as the existing Facebook Pixel integration and respects your members' privacy choices.
Store Bio Updates Now Appear Immediately
Fixed an issue where changes to your store's bio in Settings weren't showing up on your public store page right away. Store owners will now see their bio updates reflected immediately when they visit their public store link, instead of having to wait or refresh multiple times.
Coach Management System Updates
We've improved how coach information is managed and displayed throughout the Studio. This update includes better data handling for coach profiles, refined directory visibility controls, and improvements to how coaches appear in various views across the platform.
Improved Comment Editing and Button Interaction
We've fixed cursor behavior on interactive buttons in the Studio and improved how comments with formatted text are edited. Comments now properly display and preserve rich text formatting when you edit them, and buttons no longer show incorrect cursor states.
Fixed: Deleted Members Now Properly Hidden Across the App
When you deleted a member in the admin panel, they would reappear after refreshing the page. This has been fixed—deleted members are now properly hidden everywhere they appear in the app, including member lists, team rosters, author pickers, and notification/email systems.
Improved Genre Selection Component
We've updated the genre selection component to use an improved selection interface that's more consistent with the rest of the application. The genre picker now displays loading and empty states more clearly, and styling is more flexible.
Fixed frozen confirmation modal on member management
We've resolved an issue where studio owners attempting to delete a team member would see a confirmation dialog that was completely unresponsive and appeared frozen. The same issue also affected the 'Switch Plan' and 'Cancel Subscription' dialogs in the member management drawer. You can now click these action confirmations without any problems.
Fixed inbox genre settings and improved team member management
We've fixed issues with saving and editing inbox genre filters that could cause settings to be lost. We also improved the reliability of removing team members by ensuring their notifications are properly cleaned up. These changes make genre filtering more stable and team management more secure.
Fixed: Staff invites no longer incorrectly assigned membership plans
We've fixed an issue where staff members (Admins, Coaches, and Guest Coaches) were being assigned membership plans when invited to studios. Now, only Members receive membership plan assignments during invitations, while staff roles are correctly set up without a plan. This ensures proper account setup and prevents billing or access issues.
Fixed payment redirect issues on deployed environments
We fixed a bug that was causing 404 errors when users were redirected after completing a payment for track feedback. The issue occurred on our deployed environments and has now been resolved by improving how we determine the correct website URL for redirects.
Fixed default payment method not displaying correctly for free accounts
We've fixed an issue where your default payment method wasn't being displayed correctly in the billing section if you don't have an active subscription. When you set a default card, it will now properly show as your default payment method in the Studio Web interface.
