What's new in Trackstack
Every feature, improvement, and fix we ship on Trackstack.
OCTOBER 2026
Fixed overlapping thumbnails in collection grid layouts
We fixed an issue where collection grid tiles were overlapping each other, particularly affecting thumbnail images. The tiles now properly fill their designated columns and maintain a clean, organized appearance across different screen sizes.
Improved reliability for shared links and downloads
We've enhanced how shared links and download activities are tracked behind the scenes. This change ensures that all interactions with shared projects and tracks—including downloads, visits, and invitations—are now reliably recorded in our updated system. This makes our platform more stable and future-proof.
Activity Timeline Now Displays Correctly for Senders
We fixed a regression that was causing the activity timeline to appear blank when senders viewed their submission details. The timeline now properly displays all activities and interactions for both senders and inbox owners.
New Weekly Labels Card in Sent Tab
We've added a new compact weekly pulse card to your Sent tab that shows you which labels shortlisted your tracks this week. The card displays the count of labels and up to 4 label names, with a link to see more details in Insights. You can dismiss the card weekly, and it will return the following week.
Weekly Labels Played Card Now Limited to Label Inboxes
We've made an important improvement to the weekly "labels played" card that appears on your Home and Sent pages. The card now accurately counts only submissions played by label inboxes, excluding artist and curator inboxes, which better reflects the actual label activity on your tracks. Additionally, this card is now controlled by a workspace feature flag, allowing us to refine its presentation before rolling it out more broadly.
Track Suggestions Now Display Available Inboxes
Fixed an issue where the Track Suggestions page was not showing any inboxes to send tracks to. The page now correctly displays all available inboxes that can receive your track submissions.
Product Pages Temporarily Unavailable
We've temporarily hidden the Inbox, Studio, and Store product pages as we make some updates. If you try to visit these pages, you'll be redirected to our home page. We've also removed these products from our website footer and navigation. This is a temporary change while we work on improvements.
Sent Insights now accurately counts submissions from your workspace only
We fixed an issue where Sent Insights was incorrectly counting submissions sent by your team members from their other workspaces. Now, engagement metrics like Top Inboxes and Top Tracks will only show data from submissions sent within your current workspace. Additionally, when you select a custom date range for insights, the exact dates you choose are now respected instead of being rounded to full months.
Improved Tempo Detection for Uploaded Tracks
When you edit the BPM (tempo) of a track you've sent to your inbox, our system now automatically rechecks the tempo rules to ensure accuracy. We've also added a helpful 'Tempo Uncertain' badge that flags tracks with tempo issues, making it easier to spot and address any half-tempo or double-tempo problems.
Unified onboarding and announcements system
We've rebuilt how we show tutorials, tips, and announcements throughout the app using one modern system. Previously, these messages appeared in different styles and formats—some as tours, others as modals or banners. Now they all use the same consistent design that respects your preferences for reduced motion and works seamlessly in dark mode. Your dismissed tips are remembered better, and we've simplified the settings to let you replay tutorials or reset everything.
Mobile Studio App Sign-In Improvements
We've improved the sign-in process for the Studio app on mobile devices. Users can now sign in with their email first to verify their identity, then browse and select which studio they want to access—all without needing a studio name during initial verification. This makes the login flow faster and more intuitive for people who manage multiple studios.
Refund and cancellation messages now appear in order conversations
Store owners can now see refund and order cancellation messages directly in the order conversation thread. When a store owner issues a refund or cancels an order, a note is automatically posted to the conversation showing the action taken, the amount refunded (if applicable), and any reason provided. This ensures both the store owner and customer see these important order updates in the same place rather than just in notifications or emails.
Billing Links in Emails Now Stay Valid Longer
We've fixed an issue where the payment link in dunning emails (emails about payment issues) would stop working after a few hours. The button now links directly to your workspace's billing page instead of a temporary session link, so it will work whenever you click it—even if you open the email days later.
Billing Admins can now access organization management from any workspace
Fixed an issue where Billing Admins couldn't see the 'Manage Organization' option unless they were actively using a workspace that belonged to the organization. Now Billing Admins and organization owners can access organization management from any of their workspaces, making it easier to manage organizations even when working from personal or other workspace accounts.
Fix video resume position and improve course channel creation
We've fixed issues with creating scheduled course channels and improved how videos resume from where you left off. When you watch a video and come back to it later, the player now correctly remembers your position and resumes from that exact spot—unless you've already finished watching, in which case it restarts from the beginning. We also added a character counter when creating channels to prevent naming issues.
Fixed billing status and feedback actions during plan changes
We fixed two issues that were causing problems when switching between plans. First, when you switched plans, your billing information wasn't updating properly until you manually refreshed the page. Second, feedback actions were remaining available even when your plan reassignment was still being processed. Both issues are now resolved.
Fixed 'Done' Button Display in Coach Feedback Success Screen
We fixed a display issue in the coach feedback success screen where the 'Done' button text wasn't properly visible. The button now displays correctly with clear, readable text so you can easily confirm the action. We also cleaned up a duplicate search field in the collection post picker to reduce confusion.
Inbox share links now work consistently across all platforms
We've fixed how inbox share links work. When you share an inbox using the short link (tstack.link/{inboxSlug}), it now always takes people directly to the inbox submission page, regardless of the domain or platform being used. The inbox Share popover has also been updated to show and copy this standardized short link format.
Demo playback no longer blocked during maintenance windows
We fixed an issue where playing a demo submission would trigger an error screen during maintenance windows, even though playback itself was working fine. Now, background telemetry operations like play tracking won't interfere with your ability to preview submissions during scheduled maintenance.
Link-in-Bio Editor Preview Now Displays Properly on Narrow Screens
We've fixed a layout issue in the Link-in-Bio editor where the preview would overlap with the edit panel on narrow screens. The edit panel now resizes responsively on smaller displays, and the preview properly reflows beside it instead of getting hidden underneath. Both web and mobile views work correctly now.
Inbox Profile Status Accuracy & Editor Navigation Improvements
We've fixed several issues with how your inbox appears to others. The inbox status badge on your profile now accurately shows whether your inbox is paused, closed outside business hours, or open for submissions—instead of always showing "Open for tracks". We've also fixed navigation in the link editor so that dismissing the preview now properly takes you back to your inbox page when editing an inbox-linked page.
Unified Profile Links with Integrated Track Submission
We've streamlined how profile pages work by consolidating multiple submission flows into a single, unified link. When you share your profile, it now includes an embedded track submission form right on the page, making it easier for people to send you tracks without navigating away. The submission sheet opens directly on the profile when accessed through your inbox link.
Fixed issue where cancelled subscriptions remained active
We fixed a problem where subscriptions that were cancelled would sometimes still appear as active in your account. This could happen if a subscription was cancelled outside of the normal flow. Now when a subscription is cancelled, it properly updates everywhere so you won't see conflicting status information.
Spotify Artist URLs from Other Countries Now Work Correctly
We've fixed an issue where Spotify artist URLs from international locations (like Spotify Germany, Brazil, etc.) weren't being recognized by our system. These URLs contain a language code in the path (like `intl-de` or `intl-pt-BR`) that our parser was rejecting. Now you can paste Spotify artist links from anywhere in the world and they'll work perfectly.
Improved Empty Inbox Experience with Spotlight Content
We've redesigned your empty inbox view to be more helpful and engaging. When you don't have any pending submissions, you'll now see curated spotlight content and featured tracks instead of a static dashboard. This gives you something interesting to explore while you wait for submissions to arrive.
Posts Now Display Default Thumbnails Consistently
We fixed an issue where posts without a cover image wouldn't display a thumbnail in the feed. Now all posts (except audio posts) will show a default placeholder thumbnail, ensuring a more polished and consistent appearance across your studio feed.
Improved Video Library Modal and Voice Preview Controls
We've fixed the video library modal to maintain a consistent, fixed size that works better across different screen sizes, preventing it from becoming too large or unresponsive. Additionally, we've resolved an issue with the voice message preview progress bar that was incorrectly showing as fully played when it wasn't.
Getting Started Checklist Now Correctly Tracks Team Invitations
We fixed an issue where the 'Invite your members' step in the Getting Started checklist wasn't being marked as complete when you actually invited team members. Now when you send an invite, the checklist will properly update to show that step as done. We also improved the plan comparison grid layout to display more responsively across different screen sizes.
Fixed modal dialog interaction issue during plan limit checks
We've fixed an issue where the Songstats claim modal could appear at the same time as the plan limit enforcement modal, making it difficult to interact with either dialog. Now, the Songstats modal will automatically hide while the plan limit enforcement check is active, ensuring a smoother user experience.
Settings now confirm when changes are actually saved
Settings across inbox management now accurately report when changes succeed or fail. Previously, many settings displayed "Saved" regardless of whether the operation actually worked. Now you'll only see success messages when changes are truly saved, and you'll get helpful error messages if something goes wrong. Invalid data that doesn't meet requirements will be blocked from saving, and failed changes will roll back automatically.
Studio settings fixes: maintenance mode, notification labels, and save improvements
We've fixed several issues in studio settings that weren't working as intended. Maintenance mode now properly hides your studio from public access, notification email settings are now clearly labeled for who receives them (owners/admins vs. members), and saving changes to your subdomain now takes you to the new address automatically. We've also removed misleading in-app notification toggles that weren't functional and made it easier to clear support email fields.
Discover privacy settings now fully respected
We've fixed several privacy settings that weren't being honored in Discover and when browsing inbox profiles. If you've hidden your genres or turned off your bio on your public profile, those settings are now properly respected everywhere—not just in some places. Additionally, delisted inboxes are now properly hidden from non-members, though senders who've submitted to an inbox can still view it.
SEPTEMBER 2026
Fixed crash when sending tracks in Composer
We've fixed a bug that was causing the send tracks composer to crash in certain situations. This was due to a missing import that has now been corrected, making the composer more stable and reliable.
Improved Payment Method Setup for Studios
We've fixed an issue where studios that haven't completed their payment setup could encounter confusing error messages when trying to add payment methods. Now, studios will receive a clear, actionable message explaining what needs to be done before they can accept payments, and team members will be prevented from attempting payment setup prematurely.
Email notification opt-outs now work correctly across all products
We fixed a critical issue where users were continuing to receive email notifications even after disabling them in their notification settings. The problem was on the sending side of emails—we were checking the wrong workspace, missing permission gates, or not checking if users had consented to emails. Users will also now see a new toggle to control 'Submission cancelled' emails, and settings will save more reliably with better error feedback.
Video Upload Limit Now Checked Before You Try to Upload
We've improved how we handle video upload limits in your studio. Now when you've reached your plan's video limit, the upload button will be disabled and show you a clear message right away, instead of letting you click upload only to see an error. The system still enforces the limit on our servers to keep everything secure.
Fixed composer crash when working with track library
We've fixed a critical issue that was causing the music composer to crash when using track libraries. The problem occurred when the system tried to filter out AI-generated tracks during the selection process. This fix ensures the composer works smoothly regardless of how tracks are selected or updated.
Submission balance now updates instantly when sending tracks to a list
When you sent tracks to a distribution list, your submission balance and track counts weren't updating right away—you had to manually refresh the page to see the changes. This fix ensures that your available submissions and sent track counts update automatically after sending to a list, matching the behavior of sending tracks individually or in bulk.
Fixed admin navigation when opening posts from tags
We've fixed an issue where clicking on a post from the admin tags tab would lose the admin context. Now when you open a post from the tags section in the admin area, you'll stay in the admin view instead of being redirected elsewhere.
Spotlight Navigation Item Restored in Sidebar
The Spotlight feature has been restored to the left sidebar navigation. Previously, the Spotlight row was missing from the sidebar, making it harder to access this feature. Now it appears as a navigation item that you can click to reach Spotlight, unless you've hidden it in your preferences.
Live Chat Now Closes After Stream Ends
When a live stream ends, the chat is now automatically closed to new messages. Viewers can still read previous messages from the stream, but they won't be able to send new ones. The chat input field is disabled with a clear message indicating that the stream has ended.
Improved Live Stream Status Feedback
We've improved how your live stream status is displayed when you start broadcasting. You'll now see real-time feedback as your encoder connects, with clearer messaging about when your stream is reconnecting after a connection drop. The system also now properly ends broadcasts more quickly if your encoder disconnects and doesn't reconnect within a reasonable timeframe.
Post Title Length Validation and Better Text Wrapping
We've added validation to prevent post titles from exceeding 120 characters, helping ensure your posts display properly across all views. Long titles are now wrapped more gracefully in feed displays, and you'll see a helpful character counter as you type to keep you informed of remaining space.
Fixed message toolbar visibility in thread conversations
We fixed an issue where the message toolbar (with reaction and action buttons) was getting cut off when viewing the parent message in a thread. The toolbar now displays properly without being hidden by the message container.
Improved Profile Picture Upload Experience
We've fixed an issue that prevented users from uploading large profile pictures and improved the error messages when uploads fail. Now when you try to upload an image that's too large, you'll see a clear, friendly message instead of a technical error. We've also made the upload process more reliable by optimizing how images are processed.
For You recommendations now personalized to your selected inbox
We fixed an issue where the 'For You' section in Discover was showing trending inboxes for everyone instead of personalized recommendations based on your inbox. Now when you visit the For You tab, you'll see recommendations tailored to the inbox you have selected in the sidebar, and switching inboxes will update the list accordingly.
Fixed sidebar flickering when navigating between inbox sections
We've fixed an issue where the sidebar would briefly flash open before closing when you navigated between different sections like Sent, Activity, Insights, and other pages. Your sidebar preference is now respected immediately when switching between pages, with no visual flickering.
Improved bulk download reliability during service issues
We've fixed a critical issue where bulk downloads would show misleading success messages even when the download service was unavailable. Now, if the service is down, you'll see a clear error message, your download dialog will stay open so you can try again, and you won't see any tracks marked as successfully downloaded when they actually failed.
Improved Discover Browsing: Better Organization, Keyboard Navigation, and Loading Feedback
We've redesigned the Discover sorting interface to make it clearer and easier to use. The results now load automatically as you scroll (infinite scroll), keyboard shortcuts let you navigate quickly, and you'll see visual feedback when results are refreshing. Plus, we've added a "Sent recently" badge so you know at a glance which inboxes you've already contacted.
See when you last sent to inboxes in Discover
Inboxes in Discover now display a badge showing when you last sent tracks to them (e.g., "Sent 2h ago", "Sent just now"). This badge appears for any inbox you've sent to in the last 24 hours and updates instantly when you send new tracks. This makes it easier to track your recent outreach at a glance.
