SEPTEMBER 2026
Manage Your Store's Product Categories
Store owners can now create, edit, and organize product categories directly in the app through a new Storefront settings tab. When creating products, you'll see a category selector that automatically filters options based on product type, and products now display their assigned category throughout the app.
Seamless login across Trackstack services — no second verification code needed
When you verify your email on tstack.link and then visit my.trackstack.app, you'll no longer be asked to enter a second verification code. Your identity carries over securely between the two services, so you can access your inbox immediately after verification.
Storefront Category Pages & Enhanced Store Navigation
Store owners can now organize their storefronts into browsable categories with dedicated landing pages. Customers see category tiles on the home page (when multiple categories exist), can explore each category's full inventory on its own page, and easily navigate back to categories from individual products.
Fixed inbox access link after workspace invitation
When you receive an invitation to join a workspace, you'll now be taken directly to your inbox instead of a sign-up landing page. We've also updated the button text from 'Go to Trackstack' to 'Open my inbox' to make it clearer what happens when you click it.
Email verification now required before downloading profiles
When downloading a profile without an existing account, you'll now need to verify your email address before the download begins. This ensures we have a valid email on file. The process is streamlined with options to skip email verification if needed, and your download will still complete either way.
Share-download notifications now show who downloaded and their inbox
When someone downloads a file you've shared, the notification now displays the downloader's identity and their inbox, making it easy to see who accessed your shared content. You can click the notification to navigate directly to their inbox profile.
Create Your Free Trackstack Account When Downloading
When downloading through a shared link, you'll now see an option to create your free Trackstack inbox at the same time. Simply check the box during download, and you'll get a free account set up automatically—no extra steps needed. You can uncheck it if you prefer to download without creating an account.
See who you're signed in as on shared pages
When you're signed in and viewing a shared track or playlist, you'll now see a small badge in the top-right corner showing your name and workspace. This makes it clear who you're logged in as while browsing shared content, without affecting what you can see or download.
Desktop App Performance Dramatically Improved
We've fixed a critical issue causing the desktop app to become extremely slow over time. The offline cache was consuming excessive system resources and slowing down your computer. With this fix, the app will run smoothly even during extended use sessions.
Faster downloads after signing in
When you signed in to download a file using a share link, you were asked for your name even though we already had it on file. We've fixed this — after you sign in, you'll go straight to your download without any extra steps.
Create highlight clips from live recordings in one click
You can now cut highlight clips directly from your live stream recordings and publish them as draft posts instantly. Simply enter the start and end timestamps, add an optional title, and the clip is ready to publish—the original recording remains unchanged.
Simulcast Your Live Broadcasts to YouTube, Twitch, and More
Max-tier studios can now simulcast their live broadcasts to YouTube, Twitch, or any RTMP-compatible platform directly from the broadcast panel. Set up your simulcast targets before going live, and your broadcast will automatically stream to multiple platforms simultaneously while remaining gated on your home page.
Storefront Categories for Elevate Stores
Store owners can now organize their products into custom categories (Services, Products, Music) with custom titles, descriptions, and cover images. Each category gets its own dedicated page on the storefront, and live releases can be automatically included in Music categories. Products are automatically assigned to the appropriate category type.
Live Streams Now Include Auto-Generated Captions and Improved Viewer Analytics
Live streams now automatically include English closed captions that viewers can toggle on during broadcasts. These captions are also automatically saved to recordings, so replays are captioned without any extra work. Additionally, we've improved our analytics tracking to give you more accurate viewer metrics.
SoundCloud Partner Perk Now Live with Discount Code
SoundCloud is now available as a live partner perk in your Settings with the exclusive discount code TSSC3 for 2 months free of Artist Pro. We've also improved how we display partner offers—link-only perks now clearly show 'No code needed · applied at checkout' so you know exactly how to redeem each offer.
Store Experience Now Standard for All Users
We've finalized the rollout of our improved Store experience by removing the feature flag that was gradually enabling it for users. All stores now use the same modern, streamlined storefront interface with enhanced browsing, search, and checkout capabilities. This means consistent, improved functionality across all stores.
Fixed Release Pause Notifications for Multi-Artist Releases
We've fixed an issue where pausing a release would only notify one artist, even when multiple artists were involved in the release. Now, every artist on a release receives a notification when the release is paused or resumed, and each artist sees a notification for each of their tracks in the release.
Release menu actions now available when deal is in progress
Fixed an issue where the 'Mark release complete' action was missing from the release menu when a deal had progressed to in-progress status (after contract countersigning). Users can now complete releases directly from the release menu at the appropriate time in the workflow.
Improved Track Management on Releases
We've improved how tracks behave when they're attached to a release. You can no longer decline a track that's already on a release directly from the track menu—instead, you'll need to remove it from the release first. This prevents tracks from being left in an inconsistent state (declined but still on a live release). We've also added clearer messaging to explain why certain actions aren't available for tracks on releases.
Improved Release Confirmation Dialog
We've improved the release confirmation experience with a dedicated dialog that makes it easier to confirm releases and send messages to artists. The dialog now clearly shows what happens when you confirm a release and allows you to add a personalized message that artists will see.
Improved Contract Field Validation and Error Messages
We've improved how contract fields are validated and what error messages you see. Contract field values are now capped at appropriate lengths, and when something goes wrong, you'll see clear, plain-language error messages instead of technical jargon. This makes it easier to understand what needs to be fixed before sending a contract.
Contract Gate for Deal Release Transitions
We've added a safety check to ensure contracts are properly executed before moving deals between release stages. Now you'll need to send and have the contract signed before you can start or complete a release, preventing incomplete deals from progressing.
Contract Step Now Promoted in Deal Header
The contract step has been promoted to appear more prominently in the deal header, making it easier to access and manage contract-related actions when working with releases. This improves the visibility and accessibility of contract workflows.
Studio Layout Customization Now Available to Everyone
We've made studio layout customization features available to all users. You can now customize how your studio is arranged, including layout options, navigation style, post display, density, home modules, and navigation areas—all from your appearance settings.
Submission status now updates immediately when cancelled
When you cancel a submission in Sends, the status now updates right away without needing to reload the page. Previously, the row would keep showing the old status until you refreshed. This fix also ensures the Sends list stays up-to-date when you cancel from the submission detail view.
Improved Studio Stability and Reliability
We've fixed a critical issue that was preventing some users from accessing their studios after a recent update. This hotfix ensures that all studio types are properly recognized by our system, preventing errors when loading your studio workspace.
Studio tier changes and downgrade preview
Your studio tier now automatically follows your Trackstack plan (Free, Pro, or Max). When downgrading your plan, you'll see exactly how it affects your studios—including member limits, video counts, and available features—before confirming the change. Existing content stays intact; limits only apply to new additions.
Studio Plan Limits Now Enforced
We've implemented plan-based limits for Studio features to ensure fair usage across Free, Pro, and Max tiers. Depending on your plan, you'll now see limits on the number of videos, team members, resources, and feedback coaches you can add to your studio. Existing content remains accessible even after downgrading.
Improved Studio Layout Default and Stability Diagnostics
We've updated the default layout for new studios to use the rail layout, which provides a better organized workspace. Additionally, we've added diagnostic tools to help us identify and resolve any backend connectivity issues more quickly, ensuring better service reliability.
Studio Web Stability Fix
We've fixed a critical issue that was causing Studio Web to experience errors in production. The application was unable to properly load its database query engine, which resulted in failed requests. This fix ensures the database engine is correctly included and accessible when the application runs.
Studio Layout Improvements and Navigation Enhancements
We've improved the Studio interface with better layout customization options and a more streamlined navigation experience. The reader view now features a consolidated navigation header that intelligently handles overflow, and the customize panel is now more accessible from the arrangement sheet. These changes make it easier to organize your workspace and navigate through your content.
Improved Studio Layout Experience with Enhanced Console View
We've redesigned how the studio layouts work, particularly for the Console view. The header now displays consistently across all layouts with better organization of controls, the feed page has a cleaner title bar with relevant status information, and the console sidebar now has improved organization with customization options in an easier-to-reach location. Search functionality has been made more flexible to work better in different layout contexts.
Customize Your Studio Home Page Layout
Studio owners can now customize which content blocks appear on their studio's home page and in what order. You can toggle individual modules like the composer, pulse strip, featured content, and posts on or off, and reorder the ones that can move. Additionally, you can now control which navigation areas are visible to your studio members directly from the Appearance settings.
New Studio Layout Options Now Available
We've introduced four distinct layout options for your studio workspace: Reader (top navigation with centered content), Console (sidebar-focused navigation), Spaces (narrow centered column), and Standard (the familiar three-column layout). You can now choose the layout that works best for your workflow from your Appearance settings.
New Layout Options for Studio Pages
Studio owners can now choose from different layout styles for their studio pages, including a new Reader layout that is set as the default for newly created studios. A layout picker has been added to the appearance settings, giving you more control over how your studio looks to members.
AUGUST 2026
Smarter, More Reliable File Uploads
We've improved how large files (over 50MB) are uploaded to be much more resilient. Instead of restarting the entire upload if something goes wrong, we now retry just the failed part. We've also added safeguards to detect when uploads get stuck and automatically recover, plus better error messages when files change after you select them.
Better upload error messages and improved diagnostics
When file uploads fail, you'll now see a detailed error message explaining exactly what went wrong—whether it's a connection drop, storage rejection, or network issue. We're also collecting diagnostic information behind the scenes to help us troubleshoot upload problems faster without needing you to share screenshots or browser logs.
Improved upload tracking with persistent upload tray and better error visibility
Uploads now show real-time progress in a dedicated tray at the bottom right of your screen, with clear visibility into each phase: uploading to our servers, processing on the backend, and ready to use. If an upload stalls, you'll see a clear error message and can retry immediately. The tray automatically collapses when uploads finish.
Fixed stuck uploads and improved upload failure visibility
We've fixed an issue where failed file uploads would get stuck showing a spinning "Processing" indicator forever. Now when an upload fails, we automatically clean it up so you can try uploading the file again, and if an upload stalls for more than 30 minutes, we'll show you a clear "Upload failed" message instead of continuing to spin.
Desktop 0.2.3 — Improved sync reliability and control
We've hardened the desktop sync engine with smarter throttling, better power management, and more control over your syncs. The app now pauses transfers when you're on battery (resuming on AC), limits how fast it downloads to prevent system strain, and gives you a clear way to stop all syncs at once. We've also fixed edge cases that could cause transfers to stall or bypass storage limits.
Notification list now loads faster and uses less data
We've optimized how notifications load in the inbox. The notification list now refreshes intelligently based on actual changes rather than constantly polling in the background, which means faster performance and reduced data usage. Your notification badge and popover will feel just as responsive as before.
Faster Inbox Insights and Desktop Sync Performance
We've optimized database queries that power your Inbox Insights analytics and desktop sync features. This means faster load times when you're viewing activity timelines, performance reports, and when your desktop client syncs data with our servers.
Fixed broken stack links in activity history
We fixed an issue where teammates viewing sent track details could see and click on stack page links, which would cause an error. Now only the inbox owner can see and access these links, preventing broken pages and error messages.
Quick decline multiple tracks from the same sender
After declining a single track, you'll now see a convenient toast notification offering to decline all remaining pending tracks from that sender in one tap. This saves time when you want to quickly process multiple submissions from the same artist without manually declining each one.
Fixed: 'Liked By' filter now updates instantly when liking or unliking tracks
When using the 'Liked By' filter in your pending queue, tracks now instantly appear or disappear when you like or unlike them. Previously, the filter would show stale results until you manually refreshed or navigated away. This fix ensures the filtered view stays accurate in real-time.
Improved Desktop Sync Reliability and Stability
We've added comprehensive testing to ensure your desktop sync system handles edge cases reliably. This includes better protection against partial file downloads, improved handling of interrupted transfers, and more robust storage management. We've also identified two issues that will be fixed in an upcoming release.
Billing page now respects your studio's theme colors
Fixed a display issue where the Billing & Subscription page wasn't properly using your studio's theme colors and design system. The page now correctly displays in both light and dark modes, matching the rest of your studio interface. This ensures a consistent, cohesive visual experience across your entire account management area.
Inbox performance improvements for large pending queues
We've optimized the inbox to handle large pending queues (1,000-3,000+ tracks) much more smoothly. The list now re-renders less frequently when playing tracks, selecting items, or browsing through your pending submissions. This means faster, more responsive interactions with your inbox.
Fixed pending submissions queue accuracy and selection issues
We've fixed several issues in the pending submissions queue that were causing inaccurate badge counts, stale selections after declining tracks, and occasional lost likes. Your inbox sidebar badge will now correctly reflect the actual number of pending tracks, bulk actions won't re-decline already-reviewed items, and liking tracks will work reliably without being reverted by background refreshes.
New track completion step: Set a starting point
We've added a new step to the track completion checklist that encourages you to set a starting point for your tracks. When you set a starting point, playback will begin at that moment instead of from the very beginning. This gives you more control over how your tracks are presented to listeners.
