What's new in Trackstack
Every feature, improvement, and fix we ship on Trackstack.
AUGUST 2026
Send Actions Now Available in Track Insights Activity Table
You can now manage your sends directly from the Activity table on a track's Insights page. Each inbox row now shows a actions menu where you can forward tracks, cancel a send, or jump straight to the full send detail page — without leaving your Insights view.
Find your 'Remember my submission' setting right in the Composer
We've moved the 'Remember my last submission' setting from buried in Settings into the Composer itself, where you can now see and control it directly. The setting now always appears at the top of your compose form with a clear explanation of what it's doing—whether it's remembering your draft, restoring a previous one, or standing by to save your next submission.
Improved Release Pause/Resume Notifications with Elevate Marketplace Support
Release pause and resume notifications now include more context like artist name, track title, and label name to help you quickly identify which release is affected. Additionally, we've added support for Elevate marketplace notifications covering orders, payments, payouts, messages, and refunds.
Support for Multiple Studios
You can now create and manage multiple studios on Trackstack. The Communities feature has been renamed to Studios, giving you more flexibility to organize different projects, labels, or ventures. You can now create, search, and browse multiple studios from a centralized hub.
Track Match entry point now available in compose flow
We've added a new "Track Match" section to the compose page that surfaces your workspace's most recent uploads. From here, you can quickly find matches for tracks that have completed analysis, streamlining your workflow without leaving the compose interface.
Fixed missing desktop features in Inbox
We've fixed a bug in the desktop app where certain features weren't showing up even though they were included in the build. The sidebar sync status, row status indicators, and Local audio library section in settings should now appear correctly on the desktop version.
Local Audio Library: Download and Play Tracks Offline
Your Inbox desktop app can now automatically download and store audio tracks locally on your computer. This means you can listen to your synced tracks even when you're offline, and playback is faster since files are stored right on your device. You control what gets synced and how much disk space it uses through the settings.
Improved Release Management Interface and Performance Refinements
We've reorganized how release information is displayed in the deal management system, making it easier to access contract and asset details. We've also made several interface improvements including better visual distinction for selected tabs and more consistent time formatting across release lists.
Improved post discovery with collection sidebars and customizable navigation
We've redesigned how you discover related content on individual posts. Instead of a carousel at the top, you'll now see a sidebar showing either posts from the same collection or related content based on tags. Admins can also customize which sections appear in the navigation menu and pin frequently-used collections for quick access.
Live Streaming Hours Quota — Now Enforced Per Billing Period
Your live streaming hours are now tracked and enforced on a per-billing-period basis. Your plan includes a set number of hours each month (25 hours for MAX/ORGANISATION plans, 10 hours for LIFETIME/MANAGEMENT/VETTED_PRO plans). Once you reach your limit, you won't be able to start new broadcasts until your next billing period, though active streams won't be interrupted mid-broadcast.
Improved Settings Navigation with Search Hints and Inbox Links
We've made it easier to navigate your settings by adding search hints in both the main Settings and per-inbox settings, and created direct links between your workspace settings and individual inbox settings. You can now quickly jump between different settings areas without losing your place.
Improved waveform visualization on shared tracks
We've improved how waveforms display on shared track pages. Quiet sections in songs are now more visible and easier to see, the waveform stays crisp when moving between different monitor types, and the overall visualization better represents the actual dynamics of the audio.
Sign-in experience improvements for shared downloads and guest accounts
We've improved how user information is handled during sign-in sessions. When you complete a one-time password sign-in to download shared files, we no longer ask for your name if we already have it on file. Guest users who sign up through share links will also have their captured name available immediately.
Store Experience Update: Improved Control and Rollback Safety
We've added a safety mechanism that gives us better control over the new store experience rollout. Stores can now opt out of the new experience if needed, and we have an instant global kill switch to revert all stores back to the legacy experience without any downtime. This ensures a smoother, safer transition for everyone.
Fixed sign-in loop when downloading with one-time code verification
We've fixed a critical issue where the download sign-in process would get stuck in a loop, repeatedly asking for your email address even after you entered the correct code. Now when you sign in with a one-time code, the process works smoothly from start to finish, and you'll see clear error messages if anything goes wrong.
Find Settings Faster with Command Palette Search
You can now search for settings directly from the command palette (⌘K). Instead of clicking through menus to find a setting, just open the command palette and type what you're looking for—like "download" or "auto-download"—and the exact setting you need will appear with a breadcrumb showing you where it lives.
Live streams now feel truly live with real-time updates and viewer counts
Studio Live broadcasts now update instantly when you go live—no waiting for the status to refresh. Members get notified in-app when your event starts streaming, and broadcasters can see how many people are watching in real time. When a broadcast ends, the recording is automatically saved as a draft so you can publish it with one click.
Live Stream Playback and Recording Embed for Trackstack Live Events
Members can now watch live broadcasts in real-time during Trackstack Live events, with automatic switching to the recorded video once the stream ends. The live status badge now reflects the actual broadcast state instead of estimated timing, and the player gracefully handles connection interruptions.
Studio Live Streaming on Trackstack – Admin Broadcast Controls
Studio owners can now host live events directly on Trackstack instead of linking to external platforms. When creating an event, admins can choose to broadcast live on Trackstack and receive a stream key to use with OBS or StreamYard. A new broadcast panel on the event page shows live status, stream credentials, and controls to manage the broadcast.
Improved waveform display with better audio visualization
We've rebuilt the waveform display that appears alongside your tracks with improved audio visualization and performance. The waveforms now display audio dynamics more accurately, render more smoothly, and properly adjust when you collapse the sidebar or resize your window.
New Studio Design Preview Tool
We've added a new design preview feature that lets you customize your Studio layout before sharing it with your team. You can now arrange navigation modules, choose different layouts, pick themes, and share your configuration via a simple link. Changes are instantly visible to your team members once you close the customization panel.
Improved For You Feed Filtering and Studio Customization Interface
We've fixed an issue where filters weren't being applied consistently across your entire For You feed candidate set. Additionally, we've added a new studio customization interface that lets you preview and personalize your workspace layout, modules, theme, and navigation before sharing it with your team.
Unified Store Browsing: Filter and Search Across All Product Types
Stores that sell multiple types of products (services, releases, sample packs, and videos) now display a unified grid view when you filter by type or search. Your default browsing experience stays the same—organized by product type—but filtering and searching now let you browse everything together in one coherent catalog. Search now includes deep product details like track titles, sample names, and video chapters.
Buy Sample Packs and Videos Instantly
You can now purchase sample packs and videos directly through Trackstack with instant access after payment, just like digital releases. The checkout experience is tailored for each product type, with themed pages and immediate downloads or streaming access.
Release Link Publishing Now Logged in Deal Activity Feed
When a label publishes a release smart-link page, this action is now recorded in the deal's activity thread alongside other milestones like contract signing. Additionally, unpublished release pages now go offline immediately and reliably, rather than depending on a cache that could sometimes fail to clear.
Video Products Now Available – Upload, Preview, and Purchase
We've launched full video product support. Sellers can now upload videos with chapters, buyers see preview clips on storefronts, and purchased videos are accessible with chapter navigation. All video playback is securely signed to protect content.
Fixed video feedback upload progress indicator
We've fixed an issue where the video feedback upload progress bar was stuck at 0% and wouldn't accurately reflect your upload progress. Additionally, upload error messages will now display correctly instead of showing technical error objects. Your video uploads will now show realistic progress as they're being sent.
Sample Packs: Upload, Browse, and Preview Your Audio Collections
Sellers can now create and upload sample packs directly to their store with full support for bulk file uploads, preview clips, and reordering. Buyers can browse sample packs on storefronts, preview individual samples with an integrated audio player, and view detailed pack information before purchase.
WAV downloads now include artist, title, and cover art
WAV files downloaded from your library now embed metadata (artist name, track title, and cover art) directly into the audio file. This means your DJ software and hardware will automatically recognize and display this information when you load the tracks, instead of just showing the filename. This applies to over 80% of downloads.
Pause and resume your inbox directly from the Pending Submissions header
You can now pause or resume your inbox with a single click from the Pending Submissions header, without navigating to Settings. When paused, your inbox will be hidden from Discover—you'll see a clear indicator and can resume instantly from the same location if needed.
Signed-in users are now recognized on public share links
When you're signed into your Trackstack account and open a public share link in the same browser, we'll now recognize you automatically. You won't need to re-enter your details on the download gate — it will open already knowing who you are. Your download will still be recorded normally.
Fixed public share link downloads
We've resolved an issue that was preventing downloads from public share links from working properly. This fix ensures that downloads are more reliable and won't be blocked by certain network configurations.
Fixed detail overlays and keyboard navigation in inbox
We've fixed an issue where detail overlays (like submission tracks, contacts, and profiles) were displaying as full-screen modals instead of appearing as compact panels within your inbox. Keyboard navigation using 'j' and 'k' to move through your queue now works correctly again.
Sample Packs and Videos Now Available in Elevate Store
We've expanded the Elevate Store to support two new product types: Sample Packs and Videos. Creators can now sell sample collections with metadata like file format, bit depth, and musical key, as well as video content with chapter markers. Buyers will see these new product types available for purchase alongside existing offerings.
Links in Comments Now Work Properly & Improved Link Editor Layout
We've fixed an issue where URLs pasted into comments weren't becoming clickable links. We also reorganized the attachment link editor to display the Label field before the URL field for a more intuitive workflow. Additionally, links in signature blocks and templated messages now render correctly.
Fixed AI Track Analysis Not Appearing for Uploaded Tracks
We fixed an issue where the AI track analysis hint (showing whether a track is a good fit) would not appear for tracks you uploaded directly to the composer. The system now properly waits for the analysis to complete instead of giving up after the first check, ensuring you always see the analysis result when available.
Artists now receive notifications when their release goes live
When a label publishes a release smart-link page, artists will now automatically receive an email notification letting them know their release is live. Previously, artists had no way to know their release had been published unless they manually checked the platform. The notification includes a direct link to the public release page that they can share.
Released tracks no longer remain accessible after unpublishing
When you unpublish a release, the public link now becomes inaccessible immediately instead of remaining live for up to 60 seconds. Additionally, we've improved the messaging on unavailable release pages to avoid confusion about why a link isn't working.
Contract remains accessible after deal completion
Previously, when a deal was marked as complete, the contract would disappear from view even though it's an important record of what was agreed. Now the contract stays visible and accessible after completion, though it can no longer be edited or actioned since the deal is closed.
Interactive Studio Earnings Calculator Added
We've added an interactive earnings calculator to help you estimate potential monthly revenue from your Studio. Adjust member count, subscription price, and add-on services to see real-time earnings projections based on actual Trackstack studio data. The calculator appears on the Studio landing page and includes detailed information about how estimates are calculated.
Fixed login flow for existing free plan members
Existing members who tried to rejoin a free plan through the public signup link were previously stuck with an error message and no way to access their account. We've fixed this by now showing a clear message and offering a direct login button, matching the behavior of our paid plan signup flow.
Fixed landing page button links now work correctly
We've fixed an issue where clicking buttons on your landing page (like the Login button) wasn't taking you to the right place. Buttons will now navigate to the correct pages as configured in your landing page settings instead of redirecting back to the welcome page.
Buy and Download Music Releases Directly from Your Store
Artists can now sell their music releases directly through their Elevate store with instant downloads. Customers can browse release details, purchase with a simple two-step checkout, and immediately download their files from the order confirmation email and order page.
Secure Digital Music Downloads Now Available
You can now download your purchased digital releases directly from your order page. Downloads are secure, time-limited, and include options to download individual tracks or the complete release as a ZIP file. Each purchase includes a download limit to help you manage your files.
Manage Free Plans Without Stripe Connection
Studio owners can now view and manage their plans page even without connecting Stripe. Free plans are fully functional and ready to use immediately. To create paid plans and accept member payments, owners will see a clear prompt to connect their Stripe account with a direct link to complete the setup.
Labels can no longer complete a release without signing the contract
A bug has been fixed where labels using deal-flow inboxes could complete a release without the contract ever being signed. Now, when contracts are enabled, the 'Complete Release' button is hidden on the track view, and release completion can only happen through the deal drawer after the contract has been countersigned.
Release Completion Now Requires Final Files from Artist
We've fixed an issue where releases could be marked as complete before receiving the final files from the artist. Now, the system will prevent deal completion until all required final files have been submitted, ensuring a more reliable release process.
Clearer file requirements when uploading final delivery files
When uploading final delivery files (master audio, stems, or artwork) for a release deal, you now see exactly which file types are accepted and the maximum file size directly beneath the upload field. If you try to upload a wrong file type or an oversized file, you'll get an instant error message instead of waiting for a long upload to fail.
Improved Final Delivery Management for Releases
We've redesigned the final delivery process to give artists better control over their submissions. You can now remove and replace final delivery files, and delivery notes are limited to 200 characters to keep communication focused and clear. The delivery interface now displays real sender information in conversations between artists and labels.
Deal cancellation blocked after artist delivers final files
Labels can no longer cancel a deal once the artist has uploaded their final files. This protects artists who have already fulfilled their side of the agreement, preventing their delivered work from being dismissed unfairly. A clear message now explains why the cancel option is unavailable.
